Guide to the Andalucian 'white village' of Torrox
Playa de Vilches is one of the smallest of the beaches in Torrox Costa, only about 120 metres in length and, on average, about 20 metres wide.
It is a small, quiet and fairly isolated cove accessed from the N-340 coastal road. You can reach Playa de Vilches either by car or by public transport, the Malaga-Nerja bus stopping nearby.

The beach is dark sand/gravel and the general bathing conditions are ‘calm’.
The beach is virtually on the border with the neighbouring municipality, Nerja, and it here that it is currently planned to build a marina. However, the marina idea has been ‘talked about’ for the past 30 years or more.
