Re Market at Torrox Pueblo top car park;FINES AND CARS TOWED for parking on Market Mondays.

Would someone please please erect signage or print off leaflets to warn tourists and others that parking in red marked areas of this TOP CAR PARK on Monday mornings, or car left from Sunday night, leads to fines and cars being towed away. We fell foul of this law? and there are no signs erected as on Torrox Costa that we can see. Parking in this car park is very restricted on Mondays and we have been coming to Torrox Pueblo for 4 years on holidays and were slapped with a fine of 104.65EUros and THATS getting a 35Euros discount ! The Police at Torrox Pueblo kindly drove us to the pound to collect our Hire Car but it was a big chunk out of our holiday budget.SURELY SURELY OWNERS OF PROPERTIES THAT RENT IN THE AREA COULD ADVISE FOLKS RENTING THEIR HOUSES IN THE PUEBLO NOT TO PARK THERE ON A MONDAY. I didnt know there was even a Market in the Top car park as why is it necessary to have the Municipal Market every day in the Plaza AND on Torrox Costa on a Monday where there is signage to avoid fines and cars towed away, AND Torrox Pueblo Top Car Park on a Monday. This sort of arrangement will not endear folks to return to the Pueblo we felt very ripped off by this practice. I know it happens in France etc but I had hoped for better control in the Pueblo. A British couple we spoke to said we would get our car back and not have to pay a fee, cloud cuckoo land they are living in. Once we found our car had been towed away we knew we had to pay something to get it back. We have learnt our lesson please put something on your available websites to make sure other tourists dont get ripped off this way. Its a way of making money from tourists as we are the ones who dont know and are not told these ways of the village.Folks who rent out their houses are just as guilty, THEY know it goes on they just dont warn tourists who rent from them. Big Black Mark to you all !!

Yeah yeah, and Santa Claus excists as well……

What happened than with the tons of sand that they put in the last 20 years???
All waiting for the right time to turn up again and than suddenly we have dunes???

Hope this will include a pedestrian bridge or walkway over the Rio Torrox to link up Penoncillo with the lighthouse walk. It is crazy that people either have to jump or paddle the river or walk up to the main road. Does anybody know if this is planned?

Perhaps if they made the parking fees cheaper, people would use it, please dont stop parking in road as very handy and quicker than car park.

Perhaps the police should stop cars parking all around the car park, for instance on the newly covered road. Ban road parking and people will have to use the car park.

This one is the result of a town hall, that simply exceeded. If only the police would implement the law in the village and surrounding area, most of the problems would be solved, i.e. dog poo, graffitti, illegal parking, litter, vandalism, driving without a licence and/or insurance, building without a licence … the list goes on. How may policemen have you seen today? I rest my case. Perhaps a notice on the bus stops on the costa telling people there is a pueblo would help too. Few visitors know it exits.

Maybe the Councillor for Urban Planning should have a close look why real estate activity has declined. I am in the process of buying a re-sale property in Vistamar, Torox Park.
I have been refused a mortgage as the property does not have a 1st occupation licence. It appears that many of the other properties also do not have a licence. Not only does this mean that mortgages are difficult to come by, it also puts off potential buyers. These are properties that are well established on a mature development. Trying to find out when the licence will be issued or why it has not been issued is met with the usual dis-interest.
